THE SLOPES
The Portes du Soleil ski area is vast with around 430km of pistes, 296 ski slopes, 199 lifts linked and 30 snowparks across 12 resorts over France and Switzerland with Morzine as its proud capital. Morzine and Les Gets are tree-lined beginner havens. Avoriaz and Crozets have some of the best snowparks in the Alps, Europe's first Burton Stash and a halfpipe. Powder hounds will love the Hauts Forts and the easily reached powder fields in Lindarets and Chatel. The area is so huge that naturally there is something for everyone.
All of these can be easily accessed from Chalet Cascades via bus/ car to Pleney lift and on into Les Gets; to Prodains and directly up to Avoriaz; to SuperMorzine lift up into the heart of Avoriaz or to Les Ardents lift and up into Les Lindarets, not to mention the Nyon lift and cross country skiing nearby.

It has easy access to the slopes being 20m and 150m from the two key ski bus stops serving Pleney and Prodains, and is a 10 minute stroll from the central Carrefour, but offers tranquility and calm situated just outside the bustle of Morzine centre.
On sunny days the decking is bathed in sunshine from early afternoon offering a relaxing place for apres-ski and there are stunning views from the property of the Pleney slope, Avoriaz resort and Morzine valley and the character of the farmhouse/ barn has been maintained so you really feel you are staying in a part of history.
In summers the chalet offers a perfect base from which to explore all the surrounding area has to offer - hiking, canoeing, road cycling, mountain biking, paragliding, trail running, indoor and outdoor swimming as well as a host of activities for children of all ages.
A good sized outdoor grass area and a deck to comfortably seat 6 guests complements the chalet.
